 Panhard 24CT and PL17 Flat-twin.
Taking in to account that the company was taken over by Citroën in the 1960s, would it be possible to squeeze some extra power out of our flat twin, taking avantage of the sister's high tech engineering? http://www.citroenet.org.uk/panhard-et- ... /g/000.jpg

I thought this. I aquired a Panhard flat twin. Unfortunatly it is siezed. If anyone wants it it is free to a good, bad or indifferent home as I need the space and haven't the time to play with it. m

A huge amount of re-engineering to fit a fragile engine with zero parts availabilty? Sod that. BMW.

A huge amount of re-engineering to fit an engine with over twice the torque and power of the original to a (relatively fragile) gearbox? Ditto... toomany2cvs wrote: A huge amount of re-engineering to fit a fragile engine with zero parts availabilty?

 Re: Panhard 24CT and PL17 Flat-twin.
Sorry I seem to have caused an un-neccessary flurry of excitement here. The Panhard lump is dead, it won't turn and is incomplete. No manifolds, carb, clutch, distributer cap or tin wear. It MAY have some useful parts on it - heads, starter, dynamo, distributer, etc. I have attached pics - I hope! mike

This might be the cause for the seized engines.. http://www.mjscrane.com/panhard/panhard.html

Polish it up, and make it into a table or other furniture? Shame it's so bare - they're a thing of beauty, with the centrifugal fan, polished tinware and engine mounts on the exhaust downpipes.

 Re: Panhard 24CT and PL17 Flat-twin.
Dear all, All I'm proposing is to try find how this engine delivers some 60bhp from 850cc and implement some of the tricks to our 2CVs. The 2-blade fan is nice example.
