Post subject:  Ami doors and rust.

Hi all. Took the top - all the windowy bit - off the n/s rear door of the Ami today coz the chrome trim @ the bottom of the glass was hanging off and the glass was held in with duct tape. It then looked like the image I hope I have attached. Sorry new to this... Anyway, now wot?! Has anyone tackled this before or is it a new door...? Has anyone got a door they might sell...? :)

drill out the spot welds; take the rusted U profile out; make a new U profil weld it in; paint it and your done ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Yes indeed; a common Citroen formula but, I belive, one of their best.
The u - channel option did look the only way to save this. I measured it as 15 x 30mm, I think enough to do all 4 doors would be sensible - unless anyone else wants some? And in that nice galvanised sheet...
Unless I find a good door... :lol:
