Changing from 'organ' type brake / clutch to pendant type. Got the pedals and bracket, but does anyone know if someone makes the bracket that is normally part of the bulkhead that the pedal bracket/master cylinder bolts to (or has drawings / sketch).

AND before anyone groans - Oh no not another 405/625 conversion, try a heartstopping few seconds when your NEW 2cv joint snaps in half on the first emergency stop.

Also, bought new drive shafts to go with 'new' drum gearbox. These are SKF manufacture. The gearbox end has a thin metal cover and paper gasket clipped onto it. Do I leave this on, or is it there just for shipment and to prevent the grease that is in the new joint from running out ?

Leave them on.

I cut the bits and pieces out of a scrap bulkhead and let them in. It's still perfectly good now.

If I were to do it again, that's how I'd do it again.

As for people saying leaving it as is, do what YOU want, it's your van!

Good luck.

Found the bracket in Slovakia. Try this guy for hard to find panels etc. Speaks good English and easy to trade with. Janez Kezmah <2cv.ak350@gmail.com> Try him.

That's bodywork fabrication genius 2cvkeza of this very manor. You can PM him right from the comfort of this forum, without even having to crank up your email machine. :)

Have a look at some of this threads, specifically the AK 400 he is restoring at the moment - one of my favourite threads on this site!

That aks400 thread is by far my biggest inspiration to learn how to work with metal. The man is a genius!

Also, lovely van - the house in the background is making me think you're in France somewhere?
