Post subject:  C V boot renewal, tips please!!

I have to renew a c v boot soon, i can remeber how to do it, just after some tips..

I remeber before when i did one on my car with sam it being a real pain

Russel suggested to sam sticking in the kettle while making a brew.

Any other suggestions as to how to get the boot on .?

I geuss the boot needs to be bone dry after leaving hot water..??

Also have to do the middle one but i dont remeber that one being a pain..?

When i do it i will take lots of pictures and do a 'a idiot changing a c v boot' guide written by an idiot Me !!!!!

firstly get good quality boots, they vary in elasticity, warm them up in very hot water, apply grease and pull them on, they are amazingly stretchy ;)

you can actually repair splits in the rubber by using super-glue btw!(cheap cheap!)

sometime recently james, the problem is, you hav to take the end off of the arm to fit them and you need a special casstillated socket to remove itplus the arm has to be removed
one alternative is to get some self amalgamating tape and wrap that around the end instead
