Re: yellow halogen bulbs
one thing though Viking; i notice that your bulbs have the H4 type base whereas the 2cv uses P45t type. How do i get them to fit the original holders? Is it a case of cutting bits out so they fit? cheers

Thing is i want yellow Halogen bulbs so i can at least see where i'm going! These Halogen bulbs below: Have a different shaped base (H4) and as far as i know will not fit directly into the standard 2cv bulb holder. I'm happy to be be corrected, of course!

Re: yellow halogen bulbs
Neil, the LHD reflectors for 2CVs, Valeo code 082600, which are available nowadays take H4 bulbs. Guess that doesn't help too much with your Acadiane... ken

Re: yellow halogen bulbs
Just driven back from the cinema in Montguyon [20kms] its still 25 degrees C [23.40hrs] . The hood down and my yellow P45's on full beam. Best drive I have had for ages. 2CV4 flat out, no other cars on the road, not one all the way back. I can see where I am going on the older bulbs. I am living proof they work OK.

Re: yellow halogen bulbs
I also have yellow bulbs fitted to brand new Cibie lamps and I have no difficulty either(I also had them fitted to 20yr old Cibie lamps and still had no difficulty in seeing where I was going).
