It depends where and how You use Your 2cv...

About 15 years ago I slightly tuned Visa, and remove oil cooler. No problem with oil temp, only when had long time 130-150km/h, oil temp raised near 150°C.

Bigger problem is, if oil doesn't reach temp enough, about 85-115°C (safe area), for example piston rings wear down much more than when temp is high enouhg.

Here in Finland were I live, I have covered oil cooler, and haven't need to take the cover off for over ten years. Even in warmer days, when ambient temp was about 30°C, there wasn't "too hot" for oil without cooler...

Fixed that for you.

2cvs need an oil cooler, removing it is asking for trouble, maybe, with the engine exposed like a lomax deathtrap thing has will be ok all the time it's moving, but if it's sitting in traffic minus fan and minus oil cooler, it's going to overheat. Why would you want to remove it?

:( Hey guys .....whats with knocking the 3 wheelers :?
So some-one buys a knackered old 2CV and saves it from the scrappy by turning it into a "kit car" .....at least its still another "A" series derirative left on the road.
Bad form knocking some-one elses car anyway.
Grow up.

btw ......I dont drive a 3 wheeler [or any other form of kit car] myself.
