Where's the best/cheapest place to get hold of a sensor and display kit? I could do with wanting one in my car for cocking about with this weber carb mullarkey but not sure where to get one from at a sensible price. Kthnxbai. |

ebay & scrappy for the sender and the boss to screw it in to - tho a new working wide band one probably best new |

If you want a good one go for a new LS 4.8 sensor don't take one from a scrap yard (second hand), it could be off,,,giving you wrong numbers In Holland Techedge units are said to be the best techedge TE 2J9 (coming from Australia (Harleys land)) A cheap solution is www.14point7.com SLC PP2 I think you need a quality device, the cheap (chinese once) freece all the time....... DIY is possible to, but you have to solder then.... |

Keep it simple. Buy a new universal sensor for 50€. Typical input value 0.45V for 14,7/1 mixture. |

Well I have no idea what I'm talking about but Taskos this only works (if at all ) with an narrow band lambda probe... For a wideband lambda probe there is a little bit more electronics involved....... First you need to heat up the probe (700 to 800 degrees) then you need to calibrate (lsu4,7) the probe in free air, (every wide band lambda probe reacts diffrent) thats why you need to calibrate it and then you can use it in a car. There are whole books written about wideband probes.......... |

Hey, I agree with Lpgo and I have used both Tech Edge and 14Point7. Both have given great customer service, especially Alan To from 14point7, He replaced my JAW unit twice when I burnt it out from wiring it up wrong... I have just sent my current Tech Edge unit in for diagnostics after it stopped displaying the ratio... I think I fried it when I wired up my CHT gauge wrong... The only down fall of the Tech Edge product is that there website is chaotic as to are there diy instructions, way to much information and often not up to date. Harley |
