I need to change the broken outer carb return spring as its broken but I haven't a scooby how?! Currently my throttle sticks and it makes D*lly a real pig to drive and my brakes hot!

Still no wiser... Thanks for the pics though.
Perhaps I need to grind the end off and then weld it back on?

all i was going to do was fit a long return spring to the throttle arm to pull the arm back and just leave the broken spring in place

I want to replace the smaller outer spring between the bendy outer plate and smaller inner plate that interacts with the other bits.
I'll do some more pics later to try and explain.
Thanks
Tim

About to do this job too, I'm a bit behind. that end bit SHOULD come off the spindle so you can get at the springs. Is it going to be at brute force job to pull it off? Bollocks I was hoping that was going to be the easy fun bit

Further to previous post now at same stage as you. I've managed to twist my spindle   So err on the gentle side for now! will now have to get the spare one off the spare carb, but the screw heads on that butterfly are worn out, can't get a turn on them
