Any tips on fitting a new grill to a 2cv,i've just spent the past 2 hours fighting with it and I cannot get the second (L/H) bolt into the top, the angle seems all wrong.I've tried bending the metal lip and stressing the grill. Any ideas appreciated

as ive just spent all the hours of the weekend awake keeping 2 race cars going my advice would be "Do we need it? and depending on answer it s A: f**kit well do it later or B: tank tape and cable tie

( a problem solving exercise we applied to "Brakes?" before qualifying -answer A and sent them out to qualify with the brakes disabled)

which grille? the big chevron or the 3 bar one - bend it more repo ones need a good bending.

Ps if your replacing a broken plastic grille. A hammer is a good tool

Big grey (cheap) chevron one, I know whats going to happen, i'm going to stress it so much that it cracks and then i'm using the hammer one it  as I can almost get the bottom lugs over the lip!!

I dont know... Cheap stuff normally don't fit. Try to drill or grind bigger holes ... Maybe that will help.
