Post HELP! Suspension cans tits up?
I fitted my uprated suspension cans to the car and the tie rods seem to long ant the front and too short at the rear...

The uprated springs are the same physical dimensions/length as the originals but 1mm thicker material.

There was only 15mm+/- difference between the length of the tie rod protruding out of the can front and rear, I put the longest towards the back and have the AV markings at the front.

Image
At the rear I have 310mm ground clearance and 65mm of thread left, 10mm in rod end.

At the front I have 240mm Ground clearance and 10mm thread left, close to bottoming out in rod end.

Thinking about it I should have the longest tie rod with the shortest spring at the rear and the shortest tie rod with the longest spring at the front...

Have I got it tits up!?

Tired Harley

hiya harley we are just doing the same rebuild as you
the springs are 2 different lenghts, 2 are shorter 2 are longer
also the rods as well
we took notes of what went where before we stripped them so that it goes back the same
i,m only a diy-er so somebody more learned will have to post!
