Has anyone fitted one?
Bought one off Roy,it nedds to be "staked" onto the rack.Just cant see how to do this and make the bush a permanant thing.
I have tried what Roy said to do but this just doesnt seem to work.
I think a quick zap with a mig would do the job,but just want to see if anyone has any other ideas.
Ta.

Done several but not without plenty of trouble. The reproduction rings vary a lot in interal diameter. You will find 2 types most common is the ring secured with a rivet, others not so common are the staked.
In most cases I fit them using a counter sunk screw secured with a nut + 2 ugly welding spots on the back. Job done

Hi Pete,thanks for the reply.
The ring I took off was riveted on,but the new one has no hole for a rivet and has to be "staked" on.
I think a blob of weld should do the job at the back of the ring(opposite the holes for the pins).
Rick P said that was the thing to do :) so I think I will go with that.
Cant see how staking or any other way apart from a blob of weld will do.
Unless someone has another idea.

Dave,
if a replacement guide/sliding bush is loose on the rack, I pack it out with an old feeler gauge then use 3 dots of weld on each side to hold it in place.
Selective assembly applies when choosing the thickness of feeler gauge to use, of course...
