i think i knew the code but cant remember where i got it from
its a ami 8 in yellow,think it was quite a common colour for the year 1976
if anyone knows it,theres a plate on the bulkhead with some stuff on it but i m not sure if its the code or not

Had some Ac331 mixed but its not the same ,even in the door shuts its different,more yellow and darker

someone has suggested AC321 Jaune primevere , but thats a colour from the 1974 range,although It does look a good match.
Could you buy a new car in a colour from a old colour range or only from the current model year list?
Also I have looked but cant find a code plate at the moment
I guess no one on here happens to have a 1976 yellow ami ? and has bought paint in the past,long shot I know.

Ive borrowed a set of Lechler paint swatches and just gone home and found a very close match
The cars a few shades anyhow.!
The guy did say the Lechler tints could just be not quite right as they are copies of the Dupont or ICI ones,but without knowing my cars code to start with doenst really help
Looked at a flickr account that has a saloon with what looks like the exact colour(on a computer monitor I know) which was a 1974 colour AC321 , but he mixed me up and sprayed a card and it looked nothing like the car in the picture,way more green that yellow
I dont know why they didnt rivet a paint code badge somewhere on the car when it was made

Mattttttt, they did rivet a paint code onto the bulkhead when it was made. It's a little round disc that looks like a dog tag, from what I recall of the four Amis I've had it is on the O/S of the bulkhead near the washer bottle. It should have one rivet in the middle of it.
