As my interior has nothing inside it, I can hear constantly my bootlid rattling. Ive adjusted the catch as far in as it would go but I can still lift the corners out about 10mm maybe more and the rattling is annoying me now. The hinge pins also vibrate out and every week or so, i have to push them back in. Is it just me with this issue? any way to resolve it?

put bike innertubes round the boot see if that solves it

There should be some small metal tabs on the tailgate which can be bent upwards to prevent the pins from escaping.
If those have 'disappeared', maybe install some long thin self tapping screws through the eye on the end of the pin, into the top the tailgate?
That's worked on my Dyanes.

Re. the latch, is the tailgate catch OK?
If someone's been fond of slamming the tailgate down, there's a good chance that part of the plastic catch has gone awol...
