 I hate speedo's
Why did someone invent the speedo? its stupid right im very angry, so angry i want to push the car over the quay next to my house and sink my car gauged how fucknig angry i am yet?! The speedo cable will just not stay in at the speedo end, i get it all in lined up and in, do the nut up so its all secure and drive and it doesnt work!! I know its the cable because on a few of the thousands of attempts ive tried it its stayed in worked then jumped out do i need a new cable? the end of the outer casing at the end looks pretty shagged... maybe that hass omething to do with it?! times like this i want to scrap the car and show it who is bnoss really angry

im just angry because it wont work!! tried it all afternoon over and over going to now if i push my car in the sea then i wont need to buy a new cable

well the car remains away from being chucked in the sea,
the end of the cable had come away slightly so it wouldnt seat properly i think i will replace it in due course anway...
it works now, just tested it
hate cars sometime

In Holland you don't need a (working) speedo for MOT... mine broke about 3 years ago....... Why do you want to push it into the sea, doesn't your engine work, try to fix that first it is a lot easier to drive your car into the sea

I've got a spare speedo and probably a spare speedo cable. I can have a look and put them in the box with the flywheel if you have that.
Otherwise buy a wired cycle speedo (the VDO ones are nice), extend the cable and use epoxy to fix the magnet onto a drive shaft bolt.
Alternatively I have an Acewell 39xx electronic dash you can buy.
