I've just last friday finished giving my van a good service inc adjusting valve clearances ,new handbrake pads, fuel pipe, new inlet gaskets on top of the usual oil and filters etc ,and i adjusted the clutch slightly ..firstly when i did that i wound the nuts down the adjuster toward the ground a bit ,but that seemed to make it worse ,so i wound them back up a bit and its fine now :? ,i'd thought winding them down was the right way?

Secondly ,after a few minutes run when i'm stopped at the traffic lights or whatever there is now an occasional jingly noise ,with the bonnet up the actual motor sounds sweet and i'm not 100% (hence the question) but it does sound as though it's clutch area ,the trouble is it goes away so i'm not yet sure if pressing the clutch pedal makes it go away.

Any thoughts :?: ,even biting sarcasm welcome :D

Last time it was the inlet manifold touching the left wing.

Yeh i've had a few of those noises before :P

Anyway i seemed to have ended up with 1.5" of play at the clutch pedal, i've adjusted it to 1" by winding the nut up toward the bulkhead and i think the mystery noise has gone away
Have i disgraced myself
