the pipe has little or no effect its the proportion of the master and the slave 5mm master 10mm slave = twice the force at the slave-roughly you have to calculate the surface area of the pistons (2 X Pi X r1)/(2 X Pi X r2) Edit (Pi r squared) not working out the circumferance of the pistons as above |

Bit of a random topic, but here you go (with apologies in advance for more than enough Guinness this evening).  The diameter of the connecting pipework is irrelevant when considering the relationship between the force acting on the master cylinder and the resultant force at the slave cylinder(s). It's the ratio of the surface areas of the master and slave cylinders which determines the increase in force at the slave cylinders, so if a slave cylinder is 2 times the diameter of the master cylinder, the multiplication factor is 4.
