Right, so I want to get some springs done properly, so, What is the ID of a 2cv spring (71mm ?), what lengths would you recommend given the height of my car? I'm also feeling thick, I believe that a 2cv standard spring is usually 800 lb/ft?, so would 130% uprated be 1040 lb/ft or is that 30% uprated? |

Have you spoken to Sparrow? He seems to know a fair bit about it, and has a fella he uses to make springs to order. |

130% is twice plus some, 30% you'd hardly notice ive 130%( we think) on the blue car and its nice doesn't shake the windows out but corners flat - i use Boge new old stock shocks you may need to make stiffer LIP's 200%+ on the race car and i wouldnt like to use that for daily driving |

so 130 is about 1840 lb/ft? and yeah made some changeable oil shocks but only had oil of a density that was too low to make a substantial difference. If I could find some rear Boge shocks then I would have set of all four of them too. |

I'm no expert, so please excuse my possibly incorrect thinking, but won't welding the coils solid like that make it more prone to breakage? |
