Am I going mad, or should there be a small bracket that bolts between floor and sill on a 2cv? Just behind the b post I have the rear sill thread but also there are two threaded bolts in the floors.

Anyone put me out of my misery, please?

Hi Ben,
nope, you're not losing the plot, although perhaps you've misplaced the brackets. ;)

7/16" UNF bolt into the sill, 2 x M9 bolts through the floor into the reinforcement/captive nut carrier underneath the floor.

Note that the brackets are handed.

If you want proper low quality,
(at best priiice) I can dig out a photograph where one of the M9 bolts had been replaced with an M8, held in with seam sealer on a 4k (partial) restauration .

Argh, I've misplaced the brackets! Thanks both! I've got the bolts (for the sill) ready, just not the brackets. Seam sealer?

Anyone have a set they could send to me (in return for some cash, of course!)? Uncle Roy didn't reply (yet...)

i usually replace the M9 with M10 fine 12.9 bolts you get with the VW ball joints -but they are the wrong thread for the hubs
