Post subject:  What colour?!

From Mec's post in the cool pictures thread.

I have found 'my' colour. All I need to know is what it's called... :?

Any ideas? I have compared it to all the ones on the http://voitures-anciennes.over-blog.com/article-le-nuancier-de-la-citroen-2cv-45383485.html site, but none seem to be the exact match. Could be camera or screen variation, of course.

It's just wonderful

Looks like AC 083 to me...

If we assume the wheels are AC 136, and try to ajust the picture a bit, the color change:

And if we assume the color is original for the year, it can not be AC 083.

Here is the list 1965-1970:

AC 136 gris rose 09/62-09/69
AC 147 gris typhon 09/63-09/65
AC 105 bleu ardoise 09/64-09/65
AC 514 vert agave 09/64-09/66
AC 117 bleu brouillard 09/65-09/66
AC 118 gris etna 09/65-09/68
AC 138 gris dandy 09/66-09/67
AC 622 bleu cyclades 09/66-09/68
AC 402 rouge cinabre 04/67-09/67
AC 626 bleu crystal 09/67-09/69
AC 403 rouge corsaire 09/67-02/70
AC 093 blanc cygne 09/68-09/70
AC 625 blue week-end 09/68-09/69
AC 629 bleu mesange 09/68-09/69
AC 622 bleu cyclades 09/66-09/68
AC 402 rouge cinabre 04/67-09/67
AC 626 bleu crystal 09/67-09/69
AC 403 rouge corsaire 09/67-02/70
AC 093 blanc cygne 09/68-09/70
AC 625 blue week-end 09/68-09/69
AC 629 bleu mesange 09/68-09/69

But to be honerst, I don't know!

Now that's just toooo clever, tfaerch! (And you've ruined 'my' colour... :P )

Cheers, too, Rob - I'll check out that shade you mention and see if it ticks the same emotional box for me.

Hmm, I guess I was half expecting it to have been a 'camera' interpretation of a quite different tint - shame, 'cos there's something about that colour that's just hmmmmmmmm.

Hallo Advocate,

I really empathise your color quest.
I suggest to try describe and understand the qualities and emotion of this color and then you 'll find it .

These may help:

Sorry...

But - the first one - IS a nice grey!

Perhaps AC 133 Gris Kandaha is an option?

That's excellent info, gents - thank you both.

Taskos, hmm, that google link shows the same car looking pale green. Actually, it's very like Vert Embrun which just happened to be my first choice of colour - at least until until I saw that 'grey' above! So, Embrun it might have to be...

Mind you, your other link - and tfaerch's suggestion - could persuade me otherwise.

Oh maaaaaannnn...

Cheers ;)
