Hi Dave?
Glad the motor is OK.
It appears the Distributer can be fitted two-ways ie 180 Deg in Error.
If poss a photo would help.
Also do you have the LHM pump?

Cheers
Peter

Ha Ha - yup its Dave here Pete!

Damn - Mikes got the car in Manchester so cant get a pic - Ill dig my Haynes out.

As all three engines have been going in a sidewinder, I have removed the pump and blanked them off - I suspect I will have thrown the bits away! I will have to look in my parts bin tomoro for you

Pete - the vacuum advance should be on the top of the distributor as you look at it with the capacitor to the kerb side - as for the cap, from the typically poor pictures in Haynes, it fits with two of the HT sockets in a vertical position.

Hope this helps...
Paul

Hi Paul,

Yes that should help. Have the Haynes book, agree about the photos, to much contrast.
The bit I need from the pump is the "Connecting Rod" sits on the oil pump.
Also do you have any LHM parts in you bin?

Cheers
Peter
