....significantly noisier than rubber ones? I've got my engine in bits at the moment, for no particular reason, and I can't make up my mind whether to refit the crumbly rubber shrouds or stick the shiny, freshly powder coated metal ones I've had sitting in the garage for ages on instead. I know the metal ones will look better and do a better job but I'm not keen on making the car even noisier. Any opinions to share? |

Hi, I have one car with the metal shrouds and one without and tbh the difference isn't all that great and most noticeable from outside rather than inside the car. |

I'll go one better than Sean's offer and I'll pay you the scrap money AND the postage if you send them this way. |

So it looks like the general concensus of opinion is 'use the metal shrouds you daft twat' so I reckon I might just do that but be warned, if my car then sounds like a skeleton having a wank in biscuit tin then I'll probably sulk. ![]() |
