So after a year of owning my new oil feed pipes, i finally fitted them today, what a pain in the ass....

so I re assembled everything, all went back together fine after lots of swearing and shouting, and I now have no power to the coil,

Ive traced backwards, I have power at the fueses, and the fuse is all fine, and I have power coming out of the ignition barrel, but from the fuse up to the coil is no power...!!

is there a splitter somewhere after the fuse? as its all on the same circuit that isnt working (ie not just the coil, the wipers and indicators dont work either)

IIRC There is one of those shocking citroen cable splitter thingys just after the fuses

now my real question is, being that its wipers and other things, is it split behind the dash to go to the wipers etc, or is it split on the bulkhead?

All was fine when i parked the car up 2 weeks ago, so wondering if the pixie's have been at it??

James,
there are items which go 'live' and are fed via a fuse when the ignition is switched on, but the supply to the coil isn't one of them.

ken.

You sure everything from the points box to the coil is still connected? Seems a bit of a coincidence that you've taken it apart today and now it doesn't work.

Its usually the bits that came apart when you did the last job in this case its likley to be the flying lead that goes down hrough the cowling to points and oil press switch or the big bundle for the lamp bar, cant see wht=y one of the hatd wired splices or the fuse box would need to be touched to get the oil lines

Edit oh sorted!

By passing the ignition switch sorted it. I'll run with it like this for now.

I haven't touched the car for a few weeks!
