 Calibrating 2cv speedo
The speedo over reads, is there a way to calibrate it at all? I had to take it apart and put needle back on at zero but spring must have adjusted? I believe it's 'cos I haven't wound the spring up correctly when I stuck the needle back on? I'd liketo get it spot on again! Advice much appreciated

 Re: Calibrating 2cv speedo
take it off and put it back on at less than zero?
( think it had an element of Preload) beyond that its not something that i fiddle with as they never go wrong.

 Re: Calibrating 2cv speedo
why did you take it off in the first place? for the record - I don't recomend driving at 30mph whilst keeping an eye on the satnav and trying to refit a speedo on a 2cv dash and maintaining your speed

 Re: Calibrating 2cv speedo
Well The Darwin method was spot on although because on stupid I felt 3mph wasn't accurate enough (it was 3moh under reading vs the gps speed, so I took needle off. I did it whilst driving 20mPh but realisticly you need a cute blonde on your lap to drive whilst you put needle on. It worked. Waiting for the yard at work to clear before I do it!

Would increasing the tyre pressures have been too simple?

 Re: Calibrating 2cv speedo
How would that work? As I drove home I removed te needle and replaced at correct mph. Going to use sat nav to check. Use a speedometer app on my iPhone originally. All is good Now how to thread I'm arras
