Can anyone tell me whats missing from inside this oil filler.
The one fitted to my van is the newer version and i want to change it to this type.I will say that its not the rubber flap type as in my AZ,even though the outside is very similar. The one I have bought has a small drain pipe at the base

I also wonder if the parts I need for it are available.
Taa very much :)

Take a look at 2CV UK on Ebay. There is a unit like yours for sale. It would appear that there is a piece missing from yours

Ah,yes,I understand now. There should be two rubber valves, not one.The oil filler on my AZ has one single valve. :)

Dave - if you want to keep this I *strongly* recomend you buy a CPD valve and fit it between breather and air box. The duck bills are worse than useless. Mine runs so much better having got the engine breathing properly

:D yes cheers Dave, thanks for that, you're a top chap!

But the way... STOP don't buy those rubber duck bill breather bits - you should remove them if you're fitting a CPD valve! just leave the domed cap on the breather.

I've had a slightly crazy weekend (now up to 16 hours sleep since last thursday  )

I gather there was something about van rear doors? I have some small ripple doors, they came with Hetty - if you're desperate. I was just keeping them 'just in case.'
