 old stereo
Trying to fit an old car stereo, supposedly original to another 2cv. Found the earth point (and that its 12v neg earth) but that's about as far as I have got!
Its a Phillips and I *think* the model number is 22AN232/15 and it was made in france!
Wired in the last stereo I had but got angry with it and threw it out the window... quite a feat in a 2cv! This one had lots of wires and a nice fuse attatched to the power so just connected all the wires up, easy peasy!
The one I have now however just has a aerial point, a bent out piece of metal for the earth and plastic rectangular holes with metal contacts inside, one bigger than the other on the right hand side. Anyone got any ideas?
Really don't want to have to do a 5 hour car journey next week without it!

 Re: old stereo
If you can take a picture or find a picture of the connectors it might be possible to figure it out.

 Re: old stereo
I've had a couple of older Philips car stereos in the past that have used a plug like this for the speakers; http://webshop.edc-europe.nl/index.php/ ... -html.htmlCould it be these that you need? that's the only place I've found them so far.

 Re: old stereo
Yeah, I had an old phillips stereo that used those connectors for the speakers. If I remember rightly, the other block connector just carried a 12V supply and an earth (as well as the bent out tab). Unfortunately, I have a feeling that the stereo and its connectors got chucked in the bin, otherwise you'd have been welcome to them!
