kind of following on from a few other threads, especially James' one about fibreglass panels...

took the wire brush to my rear Ami 6 wing tonight....so

fill?
weld?
new one?

Personally I'd cut out the rot and graft in a new piece of metal.

There is also a fairly new technique involving metal spraying.

I like the look of that. Retains more of the original part. I wonder if it can be applied at any angle?

cut, letting in new metal and MIG it in shouldn't take that long

zinc is soft and a reactive metal wonder how long it'td last before there was reaction and paint bubbling
