I was talking to Matt damper on Friday evening, about ami 8 wings and fibre glass Wr got onto the topic whe. We where talking about work, Matt was saying that ami wings in fibreglass would be good, as you can't get ami wings anymore.. And then nice ones can be saved. So thus sparked up an idea. I'd need to find some space, but I'd be willing to make some fibreglass panels that aren't available any more, but I'd obviously need to get my hands one one of each to create a mould, but once I had a mould. The sky is the limit. I wouldn't do this to make money. But to cover costs. I wouldn't be able to mass produce as I am at work a lot, but if things worked out then I could make a fair few. There would have to be demand as makingr the mould will be a timely process. |

Well. I haven't done any research. I wouldn't make panels being produced. Any other wings or things??? |

NOS ones are around £200 each, if you can find them....I've spoken to a bodyshop, they couldn't repair mine for less... there was a pair of GRP ones on leboncoin a while ago for 270 Euro - just didn't have money at time and now there gone!!

GRP Ami 6 wings? I only know Ami 8 rear panels.. Ami 6 ones would be great, but decent used ones are still available over here, thanks to the Ami Club. Still would like some prices.. I know making a mould is the most expensive part, so the more people want panels, the lower the price will be. |

In storage, 2CVGB have many rare metal panels. These have been preserved so that if in the future some panels become unobtainable, a quality metal sample exists. Could be a starting point for you. From memory most Ami panels of all types exist there. |
