Post subject:  high beam ???

Hi on a 87 2cv do they have a headlight flasher or do you have to turn the lights on and then select high beam,also my high and low beam are working but on high beam there is no light on dash,anyone know which light on spedo facia is high beam light :?: :?: :)

Welcome to back to roots motoring! There is no high beam flasher or indeed high beam indicator, except on some odd older cars, so the only way to flash is to twist the stalk and remember when on main/dip setting, stalk towards is main and away is dipped.

German cars have a high beam flasher and as I recall the wiring is there for a light you just have to figure it out and add one.

However I find just by looking out of the windscreen I can tell if I am on hi or dip beam :lol: :lol:

its the colour coded blue lucar terminal on green wire and its often taped to its corresponding earth.
