Post subject:  Inner wing removal

Hi guys,

Just started so work on my 2cv and in need of a bit of advice :?

I need to replace the rear inner wings (or whats left of them), Whats the best way to do this? Im guessing I need to drill out spot welds but is it best to do this from underneath/wheel arch or try and get to them from above to minimise damage to rear sweep.

I will need to replace one sweep at some point but I'm abit afraid of removing to much at once.

I have bought replacement panels so far for:

rear light panel
boot floor and well
mid section panel where seat belts bolt down.
2 inner wings.

I may end also getting if I can find the ££
seat box
2 sweeps

Can anyone suggest the best order to do this in?
I have a large industrial spot welder so hoping to maximise use of this.
Sorry also is it best to keep the body on the chassis or to take it off?
Thanks

Mark

You may have to wait till after the weekend before somebody knowledgeable will be able to give you advice, it's the 2CVGB National this weekend and most of the forum members are either there or more likely at Snetterton, Norfolk, for the 2CV 24hr endurance race. :)
