Post subject:  Rear wheel cylinders question...

Hi All

I've discovered some new, but unboxed 2cv rear brake cylinders whilst rummaging in the garage. Is there any visual way of telling whether they are LHM or Dot-4 ones? Two have green dust covers so quite obvo lhm but the rest are all identical in black. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Will

Check the bore size?
Should be 17.5mm for drum brake type, with pipe nut thread of 8mm x 1.25mm for the later ones, plus the seals are usually cup type and there's a small spring between the seals.

green dust covers = LHM

black dust covers = Dot4/5
