has the head been repaired already? might be time for a new one.

n/s plug blew out on a friends newly purchased 2cv last weekend - he was on his way to me on the M3. He managed to get it back in to get the next couple of miles but blew again. Nothing would get it to stay in though and he was flatbedded to the garage for a helicoil. £42 later all is well. |

Don't know if it's had a previous repair, I'll investigate...I do have a spare head, just in case.... |

OK, spoke to Prev owner, and he confirmed that its been repaired in the past....Guess this means I need to use another head? |

probably best. you may be able to get the head welded and re tapped - but a 2nd hand goodun probably cheaper |
