ok 1982/3 club, single 5 fuse fuseboard, toggle switch for fog light, proper factory hazards, no dim dip, etc - citroen circuit diagrams of the late 80s have pretty much corelated to this loom, fuse arangement and some colours of terminals have changed

want to fit a dash repeater for the indicators

by a process of elimination or illumination have got the loom back to the dash, few head scratching moments...all works now as it should apart from the repeater.

originally had the fog light switch wires hooked to the repeater but fuse replaced and wiring to the switch does get me 12v on the flying lead that will have a fog light on it for a day, the teltale for the fog switch lights with switch so that's all ok.

so ive got a spare brown to earth terminal and the green lead that ive traced back to the R( green) terminal on the can but bloody repeater wont work. even had the can off the blue car that runs a repeater on the dash, 4 indicaters and 2 poxy wing repeaters happily

still no joy.

should the R terminal have 12v on it when the indicators are working? none of the 1/2 dozen here do all of which work faultlessly in the blue car.

should the 2nd terminal to the repeater be a "live" and the green is a switching earth?
don't seem to have any spare wires left apart from the brown earth

can of petrol and the box of matches at the ready.

Sean,
cannot follow all the stuff about the colours behind the dash, but can confirm that the R terminal should go live as the same time as the indicators are 'on'.

I've added an indicator warning light to more than a few Dyanes, which never had them originally.
All that was needed was a lead from the R terminal to the warning light, then an earth from the light.

ken.

cheers Ken ive put indicator tel tales and hi beam teltales into numerous cars- pop off the dash plug in the warning light easy. but today is just one of those days.......
suspect its to do with the loom not being properly hooked up.
 Bing! only works when both 21w bulbs in the system! it stops working when a bulb out doesn't it! sorted!!

and found ive only got NS black indicator plastic "binnacles"

and only OS gray ones but the matching grey rear trims are all cracked/UV crazed

off to sheds to see what lurks on the remaining wings .

there is a pair of wires in the rats nest, a green wire with green Lucar terminals and a grey wire with a brown terminal- usually taped together.

fit a teltale to the dash and plug it into those wires - Simples!

if you want to use the hazard light you would need a piggyback connector and plug the green wire into the terminal with the green wire at the back of the hazard light

James,I thought you would have wired up those LED's I sent you buy now.
The wires you need are already behind the dash.

Dave I have :)
What I meant and mean is I want it so that the tell tale light that flashes when the hazards do, flash also when you indicate. Make sense?
