 Wheel wobble... or something?
2cv's been running great and I've done over 200 miles in the last few days, but this afternoon taking a left hand bend quite fast the car seemed to lollop to one side as it was going round, as if the wheel nuts were loose or something That's what it felt like anyway. I don't think it was my imagination but it hasn't done it since? If it does come back what is it? Track rod ends? Do they wear out and cause what I've described? I'm guessing they do? J

There are folks on here who know lots more than me and you are probably going to get some good sensible advice....in the meantime... Have you : 1) Actually checked the wheel nuts...?? 2) considered taking bends a bit slower 3) working out a route that is straight or only includes right hand bends

also, the inner wing might be bent from removal and re-fitting? thats more a scraping sound though.

Front shocks are pretty recent, new kingpin last week though... Was done by proper specialist, although due to previous problem the arm needed a bit of work. All the wheel nuts are tight , and funnily enough the inner wing has been scraping on the arm, but i sorted them out yesterday.

 Re: Wheel wobble... or something?
I can't think of anything I'd describe as a 'lollop', Is that a noise, a movement of the car, a feeling through the steering wheel?
When exactly did it happen, mid-corner, or as the car was turning in?

When exactly did it happen, mid-corner, or as the car was turning in? Mid turn, it was as if both front wheels suddenly went out by quite alot, vertically for a split second if you know what I mean, but then they righted themselves? I know that's impossible, but that's what it felt like. Quite hard to describe... and nothing unusual through the wheel either.

Nope if its not prone to doing it in similar circumstances it may have been diesel on the road or something outside affecting the behaviour

 Re: Wheel wobble... or something?
Right more info.... It's definately there. Left hand bends only from what I can tell, going anything above 20mph. Other than that it's fine. Going over speed humps though it does feel like something on the right hand side is a bit loose? I briefly checked that nothing major WAS loose... Everything seems fine from what can be seen without taking the wheel off.
