 fitting speakers in front doors
Does anyone know of a speaker that will fit in the front door panel? All the ones I have looked at are to deep. I don't want to be blasting/boom-booming,just listening to Gold Radio

Re: fitting speakers in front doors
You can fit tiny little 10cm speakers but you'll never hear them with the engine running, to mount a deeper speaker in the door you can use these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Speaker-pods-5-25 ... 5adee23a59http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SA-009-Speaker-po ... 43a0786f80I prefer to mount them in the roof on two plates welded to the roof side rails and crossbars instead of the doors as I end up kicking them, and the door panel is so flimsy.

Re: fitting speakers in front doors
There is a speaker mounting thread not too far back where I put some pics of ones I mounted in the roof.
I noticed Phil had mounted his in the doors though and built out a box so that you could fit some decent sized ones.

Re: fitting speakers in front doors
I think roof mounting on the cross beam is a good idea. Under the parcel shelf works ok too, although again, you might end up kicking them.
I'd stay away from door mounts really, they doors are just too thin.
Remember speakers work on magnets - I've seen cars with weird dirt marks, or even rust in a ring on the outer side of the door!
