Morning thought - It's nice in a way that people are willing to defend/promote their favorite product. I know sometimes it gets heated but at least we are debating products, not bashing each other.

Jon, that's bang on.

I though you had created a thread to have an argument. Was looking forward to that. Struck me if they were confined to one thread you and spanners could just not look.

Hmmmmm, re reading the thread again it does appear to have been setup to create arguements with comments designed to infuriate etc. Maybe as instigator Russ should put himself on the naughty step.

Diesel oil? Why would I want all that detergent cleaning the protective gunk off the backs of my pushrod seals? I'll stick with the Valvoline Racing 20/50 thanks.

I'd rather the seals sealed on their own, rather than relying on a layer of muck. I've seen it quoted that there's not actually any technical difference between the detergents in "diesel" and "petrol" oil, merely the packaging. Certainly all oils have both S & C (spark & compression ignition) API quality ratings on them.

Not to mention the evostik you were pouring into the LNA on Saturday...

I don't really see why the two of us who pay the bills shouldn't be allowed to do and say what we like.

I shouldn't say this, but let me know before you do, I could probably find a home for it, or certainly bits of it for my spare shell.
