Just had a look at the wiring diagram... And if its colour codes are right, you can disable the self-park by disconnecting the white connector on the wiper switch.
You should be able to check with a meter, with the wipers parked and the connectors taken off the switch, one should show 12V, one should show no voltage and a resistance to earth, the other should be connected to earth, that's the one I think you want to leave unplugged. Don't forget to put the other two back in the right place!

The above could all be a load of bollocks, sorry if I've got it wrong...

I've just been out. Tried it luke, the wipers worked anyway  , but I did that too, and you are right, white one does it.

The fog lamp, the only fog lamp that has worked every time my lights paranoia kicked in (I checked it two weeks ago) doesn't work.

*sigh*

Hopefully it will be the only thing.

Pretty please.

Failed on the fog lamp, which they fixed (without asking but hey) and PASSED HIM! Woooo

They didn't care about the wipers (because guess what they wouldn't switch off again),
but got advisory on front seat (lately its bum on steel driving), missing bump stop on front chassis leg and misting of oil on rear shock (something which comes up on every other MOT for the last 8 years).

The last guy who Moted our 2cv put a right pokerface :x on when looking at certain points (chassis & seat belt thingys & Emissions-even though it is pointless on a 2cv ;) ) though he is a really nice guy and passed the car. :D

Why would it be pointless on a 2CV? Does the chassis not matter on a 2CV? Or the seatbelts or emissions :? Enlighten me.............

I ment its pointless to do the emissions on our 2cv hence the (-) but yes the chassis and seat belt mounts ARE important, sorry a miss understanding to what i ment

I'm afraid that us MOT people are programmed to pull faces when we're testing cars. Also, you may feel it's pointless doing the emissions on your 2CV but it still has to be done. Granted, 2CVs are usually pretty good emissions wise but there's always going to be the exception to the rule.................... :ugeek:
