Inertia seat belts in the back
If I ever get a 2cv on the road again I'll have to stick some child seats in the back, held by proper Inertia reel seat belts. So how to fit the seat belts, has anyone done this? any pics? cheers Julian

Re: Inertia seat belts in the back
Why ineria reels for a child seat? It is far easier to fit a static belt and tighten it up. The issue you have in a 2CV is that there isn't really anything sensible to attach the top mount of the inertia reel. You may be better off getting a harness type restraint and attaching them to the floor behind the seat.

thanks, hadn't thought of the harness, though I'm not sure the child seat could be held by that. yeah its the top mount that I was wondering about.

Re: Inertia seat belts in the back
I'm pretty sure I've seen kits - but it does require a frame to be fitted (welded? bolted?) to accommodate the upper mounting. I doubt very much you could just rely on just bolting through the thin bodywork...
