 Motor oil (winter)
Plenty of info here http://www.carbibles.com/engineoil_bible.htmlLooks like 20/50 is too thick for winter but OK for summer. What are you using? Fish oil?

 Re: Motor oil (winter)
Interesting. So what's the difference between petrol and diesel oils? Why use diesel oil in an air-cooled classic engine?

 Re: Motor oil (winter)
It's only my uneducated and ignorant opinion, but even if I was getting diesel spec oil for free, I wouldn't be using it in a petrol engine which I valued - any petrol engine!

Although I've only started using it because other people do, which isn;t a valid reason to do anything. Plus you can't get 20W50 for £2.49 from Wilko anymore, it's all expensive. Racing people say use diesel oil, Adrian says use expensive hi tech stuff, I say use cheap stuff.
