Post Indicators/hazards dead
Ok stood in traffic yesterday evening the indicators just went dead. Tried the hazards and they were dead too. Swapped the flasher unit for a spare when we got home... Still nothing. Checked fuses and all connections under bonnet/lighting bar. Everything seems fine. They just seem completely dead. Also my car is fitted with a clacky stalk and the indicator lamp on the dash is also wired in. Any help would be good as my Dad won't take me out practicing until I fix them

The indicators and the hazards on on separate circuits so for both not to be working you have to look at the thing that is common to both and that's the flasher unit and the bulbs.

I would get hold of a flasher unit you know is working and try that as its the most obvious thing.

Ok thanks. Will order a new one, see if that solves it.

Check that the hazard switch hasn't gone - when I recomissioned my car, I didn't have the switch connected, and nothing worked on the indicators. As soon as I plugged in a new switch, all was well again.

Check if you got power at the flasher unit, the black terminal should be live when either the ignition is on or the hazard switch is on. If you have power here then I'd suspect the flasher unit, if you've no power here suspect the hazard switch.

could you bypass the flasher unit with two male spade connecters so that when the indicators where switched on instead of flashing they would be permantly on, now i know that sounds stupid, but if that is possible, it would tell you if you had a problem in the wires, or if the flasher unit was the suspect in question
