 Re: head off
Hi Wal, If you have a vice, hold the bottom of the pot in a vice. Use some cloth so you dont mark the pot. (If your putting in new pots it doesnt matter how you treat it)
Careful with the heads. Tap the bottom of the head with a mallet, careful as it is all fins. Gentle taps all the way round it, should come off. Hope this helps

 Re: head off
Wal, another method, which avoids any chance of damaging the fins (or the barrel) is to use a length of timber, sitting _inside_ the barrel, as a drift.
Hold the assembly upside down by gripping the barrel with one hand and clout the drift with a hammer, altering the point at which the drift contacts the head to prevent the top spigot from tilting as the head starts separating from the barrel.
Make sure that there's something soft for the cylinder head to land on when it lets go...
Ken.

 Re: head off
Cheers Pete Done the power swap thing and the bulbs light up,so Im guessing no feed to the stop light system?
Is an extended waving arm still a recognised signal for braking across europe ?
