I had a failure of the dip-beam and after checking the fuses, bulbs and the new wiring to the headlights where they connect below the coil, :? I gave up and took it round to my local specialist. Solution....a new relay on bulkhead, next to the battery. Sorted. :D

Curious,
as most folk know that the best thing to do with that 'dim dip' lashup is disable it before it cooks your light switch.
To do this, unplug both relays, unplug and bin the remains of the resistor clipped to the front chassis crossmember and fit a jumper lead across the relevant terminals on the 5 pin socket...
Ken.
