well, while bridging my dim dip, someone distracted me, and i bridged instead of one to 5 i think 1 to the other one by mistake without realising, i then turned my headlights on and smoke poored out the switch, and then i realised that the brown wire (either one or 5 i believe) is completly melted down the loom!

what is the brown wire?

and i have a spare loom, do i patch this loom up, the wire is completly melted and gone, it is the only one that has done so, i took the switch apart to see if any damage there, but there is no brown wire to there either,

is there anyone near ish me to come help me sort this out as i need to get this fixed asap! im pretty sure that ive shorted it out, well obviously i have!
and if can patch it shall i nick a bit out of the loom and how do i patch it

also, whilst taking head light switch apart, it all fell apart, how does it go back together! didnt see how it came apart as it all sort of sprung out!

the brown wire is an earth, and i obviously hooked it up to a live by mistake...

if i disable dim dip it makes it redundant anyway so all is not lost!

it melted another wire, well pretty much, but lukily that is also an earth, and where it goes up, it is earthed futher up with a load of wires so defeates the object of that part of the loom, so its not the end of the world lukily, but i am going to buy a new loom, or see if the one i got is good enough, so to put it back to originality!!
