recommend me some drill bits for 2CV metal
Hi
It's time I invested in some drill bits - purely for metalwork, ali and steel - any metal on an A-Series.....
1mm upto 15mm??? what would the range be??
don't really want to spend more than £20 / £25.....have a good Swiss Bosch drill for them to go in....
any thoughts - thanks Will

I picked up a good set housed in one of those folding metal boxes ages ago from ALDI for about a fiver and I'm still using them.
The range is from .5mm - 12mm but I've also got an incremental conical bit (not sure of it's correct name) from 4-20mm in 2mm steps

Re: recommend me some drill bits for 2CV metal
For such thin bodywork metal (yes, I'm talking 2CV), is it worth also having a tapered reamer in your 'kit?
Drilling larger holes in this kind of metal can be a real pain if you can't support the panel properly, and the drill can also 'grab' and distort the panel. A smaller drilled hole followed by a reamer might just be the job?

I must admit, I thought it was rather a strange question to be asking at first. I've always regarded drill bits as a disposable/expendable/consumable tool so I get them as & when I can. I know there are different types & materials so some may blunt or break sooner than others but in this instance I don't use the "cost versus durability" formulae.
