Has anyone fitted a rev counter to their 2CV? Is it a tricky job? Or indeed possible?

ECAS and 2CV stuff both supply rev counters.

Its harder than one might think to find one that will worth with one spark every 360 degrees but can be done, some harley davidson ones apparently work very well.

Its a topic that comes up from time to time if you have a quick search for more ideas.

I have one which has been working for years. Bought it at 2cv.be, André Jacques.

I see the ecas one is 80mm which I could put in a pod "hot rod" style and stick on the dash. Not sure if there is realy any point to see the 2CV rpm though, thinks it would look quite groovy.

Well, it helps you deal with too much acceleration which isn't good for the health of the engine as well as the environment...
