Hello

as it says really - anyone have any recommendations of product to use.....

the original adhesive has perished a bit and been removed over the years for tinkering

Lemme guess - Ami, the ones along the bottom of the sills? There should be a steel lip to retain them, not glue. Except, of course, that makes a GORGEOUS water trap...

Bodyshop mastic. Comes in the cartridges that fit in the squeezy-trigger guns, and makes poo on a blanket look like a post-it note.

i would try rota bond. its a type of bonding sealent that is used in the swimming pool industry. it will even set under water. ideal stuff for what you want to do. not cheap thou last time i ordered some it was 18 quid a tube but works really well. available in black or white

I've used this stuff here n'there and it is as sticky as it gets really. It's more seam sealer than glue though I would have thought.

tiger seal, silkaset etc... comes in a tube to fit in your gun and sticks very well! pile leads in so the water cant sit in the lip above the seals, it will delay the rust by minutes! (Tiger seal is black too so not to noticable)

This is the leading edge of the front door, sill is fine...but i know what you mean about water traps...

I'm going to try out 3M Super Weatherstrip & gasket adhesive....
