Post My indicators have stopped clicking
When I put the wing back on, I didnt tie the live lead for the indicators up properly. I lost the indicators driving home last night and when I popped the bonnet, found that the live had been shorting on the exhaust.

Repaired it and taped it out the way, but for some reason now my indicators don't click clack :?

Hazards sound and light up like normal but indicator left or right i get one click then a sort of muffled ticking - everythings lighting up fine though.

Suggestions?

Sam

The earth is notoriously poor with the indicators. Are you sure yours are nice and bright, properly tightened and with a plodge of Waxoyl to keep the elements out. My earth leads were old and brittle so I replaced them with new wires.

Check the live feed too and replace the tape with a connector block or bullet connectors properly crimped on.

My electrics were pretty poor before I went through them with a fine tooth comb, cleaning, tightening, replacing, spraying with silicon grease and finally Waxoyl. I've had no problems since.
