 Seat cover question.
I'm toying with the idea of converting my seat coverings to this type. My existing seats are 1986 issue, is it a straightforward cover removal and replace job?

 Re: Seat cover question.
I've wanted(and still do)to fit early type seat covers, having had a quick chat with Roy(ECAS), they can be fitted, but will need some fettling....If my memory serves me right. A plus point with covers that expose the floor beneath the seat is, you can find/make a box that will slot between the two bars that help to give a bit of strength to the base of the seats and have extra storage space that you can access easily.

Anything more specific on what that fettling might be?

Depending on amount of fettling required, this might be of interest: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/citroen-2cv-early ... 500wt_1102

 Re: Seat cover question.
I've been after one of those for ages. I'm not sure if it's the right one to go in mine or one from the very early models. If it wasn't 200 miles away, and listed as pick up only I might have took a chance.

 Re: Seat cover question.
Hmmmmmm Local-ish to me, doesn't say if it's a front bench seat though and even if it is so, what about attaching it to a late 2cv? Old-Nail wrote: Anything more specific on what that fettling might be? Not really, from memory I think he mentioned it would fit, but not as well as it would on an early seat frame. Perhaps Roy can reply, when he sees this thread.

 Re: Seat cover question.
Definitely front bench (compare it with your pic, above). If you're happy to risk a tenner, why not find out where it is. If it's Worcester, or N Worcestershire, I'll pick it up and hold it for you.

 Re: Seat cover question.
Thanks for the offer that's very good of you, but just looking at it I think it's the peg in the floor type fitting from an early van perhaps? I want the one that slides on rails.
