My back wings are in a mess down the front edge (where the screws go).
Here's my dilemma:
a) are cheapo metal wings worth the aggro of getting them to fit?
b) are plastic wings any good?
c) is it worth trying to weld new metal strips on top of the dodgy front edge of my knackered wings, to get another year or two out of my originals? Apart from the front edge, they're in remarkably good fettle.

The fibreglass wings that Bob Marshall supplied are excellent & fit nicely - have a look at the cars in his 'gallery' that are sporting his panels. I believe he has recently moved to France & he was going to start production over there. Obviously shipping costs may make it prohibitive...

Ecas are now listing glass reinforced polyester wings:

I wonder if they're the same?

if you can get someone to weld on a strip that could be a permanent solution if done right, if you have to pay someone and pay to paint them then replacement would prob be cheaper.

pop an ad on here and 2cvgb and see what turns up 2nd hand

did a car with pattern wing and couldnt get the wheel off, the bulge of the wheel fouled the lip and so the wheel wouldnt come off the studs

I contacted Bob a while back but got no response. I'm still looking for a rhs rear wing - the ones on my drummer were completely shot, due in part to having Robri trims fitted. Created a lovely area for rust to form away from prying eyes <sigh>

Got this message from Alan Bradford at Silly CVs:
"std grp rears at £50 each and cutaway rears £45 each... delivery around £15," (per wing, I'd imagine).

No, you have to weld them on. ;)
