Post subject:  Washer pump inlet/outlet

I've only just noticed that the two prongs on the back of the windscreen washer pump are different. One is taller and the other has a bigger hole. Anyone know which is the inlet of those two before I take a 50-50 guess... and lose ;)

pump it with your finger over one of the holes and see if one of them sucks?

well i'd guess the one with the bigger hole would be the inlet, taking x volume in at low pressure, pumping it through a smaller hole making it higher pressure?

I was going to say - I stuck some bits of tubes on mine and tried each in a jar of water.
