I've seen this hood in Germany. Does anybody know anything about it?

Is it original Citroën part? It looks like a 602 engine?

the german owner bought old a and az's in france in put them on modern chassis with 602 engine, the bodywork should be oringinal.

i not see directly a diference with mine ?
possible this is a fitted ployester hood that they sell like that ?
very expency by the way over here about 500 eur for the hood in plastic

There is a sutble difference, the middle if the grille is like a diamond shape, but yours is straight.

There's a much more significant difference - the original ripple doesn't fit over the normal headlamp bar and alternator - but the plastic reproductions have more curvature, so they do.

I don't think that red one is, though - there's no light bar in front of the alternator... That centre bar in the grille is unusual. I didn't notice it at first.

the bar in the centre of the grille, I think was a period accesory, im sure there was discussion on this else where?

yea russel now is see it all so yes .
in the middle between the open wings is it more wide like they cutting it and weld some plate between .
the bar yes i now that it took some work .
first they told me you have to turn it to the back .
so i cut it lose , not work with all 2cv .
so i have to put it back an then i see some where that they change the bar .
that was bether .
i gething offcorse a loth of help from the Dutch-Belgian forum 2cv.nl
where my manny thankx for the guys who do it befor and post it .
more for riple hoods on modern 2cv overhere

There should be a topic about that on 2cv.nl or on snail... Did a quick check, but couln't find a topic..
But I've seen those grilles before.. IIRC it is a repair-part for damaged ripple hoods, made by a assesoire company orso...
